Matinee News

The Islanders had to dress a couple of minor leaguers today against the Capitals, as both Trent Hunter and Chris Campoli were de-activated due to injury. Hunter was lost to a hand injury, which he suffered in practice and Campoli suffered a groin injury last week. Both players are listed as out day-to-day and are available for the Waiver Draft.

It looks like the Blues have lost Manny Legace during their matinee game against the Bruins. Legace managed to get 10 minutes worth of action in before pulling himself out with the injury. Legace has been a key part of John B.'s success in the Draft this season with 26 points this year. An injury update will be provided when it comes down.

The Capitals have seemingly lost the services of their back-up goalie, Brent Johnson again. Johnson has already sat a couple times with injury this season, usually surrounding his hip. Johnson is considered one of the better goalies available for the second Waiver Draft with his 11 wins, but the injuries are a concern. It doesn't seem likely that he'll be taken, especially if he's hurt. Also on Monday afternoon, Eric Fehr was a healthy scratch again.
