As we found out in the Flyers'
pool outlook for next season, they don't have a starting goalie signed on for next year, as of yet. Enter the possibility of
Ray Emery signing on in Philadelphia. According to a number of
sources and
blog posts, there have been talks between the two sides in order to bring back the troubled keeper from the KHL where he went 22-8-0 last season. Of course, there has been little word as to what a deal would look like, as to the years and the value, but I would guess that any deal would see Emery be a cap hit of about $2.5 - $3 million over a couple seasons. The Flyers are going to struggle with the cap, hence the outsourcing to Emery.
