In Monday night's game between the Jets and Senators, Winnipeg forward Drew Stafford suffered an upper-body injury after crashing heavily into the boards in the 1st period. He will likely have to go through all the protocol checks and a diagnosis will likely come in the next few days. For now, Stafford will be considered to be day-to-day, unless otherwise noted, but the Jets do open the season on the 13th, home to the Hurricanes, so there is still some time before he's required.
