Seabrook Given Three Games

The NHL Department of Player Safety has come down swiftly on Chicago Blackhawks defenseman Brent Seabrook, giving him a 3-game suspension on Sunday for his hit devastating hit on St. Louis Blues forward David Backes.

As you can see in the video below, Seabrook caught an unsuspecting Backes with a Earth-shattering collision, which forced Backes from Game Two with only five minutes to go in the game.  Play the video below for more details.

ImplicationsThe player counts have been done in the pool and Seabrook was taken eight times out of the 47 teams that have entered the pool.  Seabrook was listed in the second defenseman box of the Western Conference, Box 9.

Seabrook wasn't the favourite in that box, Slava Voynov was taken 10 times to lead the way there.

Brenda, who sits in 1st place after the Rangers/Flyers game on Sunday morning, doesn't have Seabrook, but 2nd place, Aaron, does.  Will Seabrook play again in these playoffs or will the Blues finish the job in Chicago, not allowing him to return?
