A meeting between Blues management and David Perron has come to the conclusion that the 23-year old forward will start the season away from the ice and on the shelf.
Perron has been dealing with a major concussion and all of its symptoms since the beginning of November, which limited his 2011 sesaon to only 10 games, where he scored 5 goals and added 2 assists.
The Blues think that Perron should be able to return to the ice at some point this season, but at this point, there are no guarantees. With a major concussion like this, the first thing that has to be taken care of is his overall health, which may put his NHL career in jeopardy.
Nevertheless, you may want to scratch him from your fantasy draft list, especially since concussions can come back and bite a player.
