Trouble on the Blueline

It looks as though the Capitals are going to rest a key pair of blueliners before the holiday break tonight. Both Mike Green and Tom Poti are not going to figure into the line-up, as the Capitals take on the Rangers in the Big Apple.

Green, a Draft pick of Larry's, will be out through the break to rest his ailing shoulder. Apparently, Green wasn't 100% when he returned to the line-up and he is still experiencing some discomfort. The team has said they are going to rest him until he is 100% and now is a good time for that, with a couple extra days off.

Poti, a Draft pick of Dale B.'s, is also experiencing some discomfort in a previously injured body part, his is the groin. Poti will likely look for the same kind of treatment as Green, waiting until he's 100% before returning.
