First Notes of February

The Ducks had the return of Todd Marchant from a finger injury on Monday, but they were without Brendan Morrison and Samuel Pahlsson to start their game against Buffalo. Morrison was kept out due to an undisclosed injury, while Pahlsson was suffering from some flu-like symptoms. There is no word whether or not either player will be ready for their next game on Wednesday.

The Sabres kept two players out of the line-up on Monday night, as both Jochen Hecht and Jaroslav Spacek sat out against the Ducks. Hecht was reportedly suffering from blurry vision, but a concussion has only been speculated, not yet confirmed. Spacek, however, was suffering from a sore hip and didn't feel 100%, so he stayed out of the line-up. The Sabres also go again on Wednesday, Spacek seems more likely to be in the line-up, rather than Hecht.
