Player Notes in the Draft (Feb 11)

There were a couple of pool scratches from the Anaheim Ducks on Tuesday night, as both forward Jakob Silfverberg and defenseman Hampus Lindholm were held out of the lineup, the first to the flu and the second to a lower-body injury.  Both are considered to be day-to-day and it doesn't sound like either are expected to be out for too long.

Lindholm was reportedly hurt on the weekend, but was thought to be somewhat questionable for Tuesday night's game, so that would lead me to believe that he should be close to go soon.

The loss of Silfverberg meant that Tony lost a game and Stuart also lost a game played with Lindholm on the shelf.  Tony is the only one of the two in the money conversation, as he sits in 7th place, now 32 points back of 3rd place and falling faster.

You don't see muscle cramping as a usual reason to keep a player out of the lineup on any given night, but Bobby Ryan of the Senators was out on Tuesday night because of cramps.  Of course, this shouldn't keep him out of the lineup for long, unless the Senators are hiding a bigger problem than what they are letting on.  He's on the list as out day-to-day for right now and we'll keep an eye on it.

Ryan's team worked out a little bit of space between himself and Allan on Tuesday night, despite not having the dynamic forward in his lineup.  The injuries just keep on hitting at the bottom of the table though, it just seems to be a major curse this year.

And talk about some bad luck, no one wants to see an injury in the morning skate, but one of Tampa Bay's hot forwards suffered an upper-body injury on Tuesday morning and Cedric Paquette ended up missing the game against the Nashville Predators because of it.  He is on the list as out day-to-day and will likely be re-evaluated before the team's next game, Thursday, home to St. Louis.

Well, Paquette was not able to make his debut for Grant K. on Tuesday night, as he was newly-activated from the Week Eighteen Waiver Draft.  That's not exactly the way you endear yourself to your new pool team, as if to say he was trying, but nonetheless, this isn't very impressive.
