Okposo only managed to play in 65 games for the Sabres this season, having some real ups and downs throughout, but he was a substantial offensive force in the games he did play, scoring 19 goals and 45 points in those 65 games. He will finish inside the top 200 in pool scoring this year, which is a good measure of a season, it is just a shame he wasn't able to put together an 82-game season.
The impact on the hockey pool is very low, as Wes' team should only finish as high as 16th this season, but without Okposo, it may be tough to accomplish. Wes took the power forward in the 5th round, 111th overall and he would have been close to that pick value, if he remained healthy all season. We're all hoping that he can get this sorted and be a good hockey pool selection next year.
