Looks like there were a couple of healthy scratches in the Anaheim Ducks line-up on Thursday night, as both Dustin Penner and Jakob Silfverberg were held out of the line-up for the game in Nashville. There has been no indication of injuries in the player news in the last 24 hours, so it should be safe to assume that they were just scratches, unless they were bitten by the flu bug, which is also a possibility. I don't think there is any reason to think they will miss much more time.
Penner was a Waiver Draft pick-up for Tony D., who isn't having a great Week Fifteen, stuck among the bottom of the pack with only 6 points, while Silfverberg belongs to Stacey M., who holds the 4th place position, 14 points in the week.
An injury note that I missed the boat on this week, the Montreal Canadiens announced earlier in the week that they would be without forward Alex Galchenyuk for the long-term, as he has suffered a broken hand. I believe the approximate return date will be in the 4-to-6 weeks range, which has him on the Injured Reserve already.
Galchenyuk has been an okay depth forward for Stacey M. this season, picking up 23 points this season, accounting for 6.6% of her team's total. This kind of injury, with about 11 weeks left in the season will be a toss up to replace in the second Waiver Draft, which goes next week. Being in a money spot right now, it will be interesting to see if Stacey moves the young American forward or keeps him and hopes for a quick recovery.
