McAvoy Set to Miss Four Weeks

On Tuesday morning, the news came down that Boston Bruins defenseman Charlie McAvoy will now be out of the lineup for upwards of four weeks, as the lower-body injury he suffered is a sprained MCL in his left knee.

McAvoy has been in the conversation for the Calder Trophy, as the league's best rookie, albeit in a supporting fashion, but there's no denying that he is quite the talent.  In 59 games this season, the 20-year old has 7 goals and 32 points, ranking 217th among all players in scoring, 31st among all defenseman, after Monday night's action.

If this was to affect anything, it would be Cam's spot in the rookie scoring race, which doesn't pay out.  Cam's team is currently tied with Clayton's team with 90 freshman points this season and Chris' team is not too far behind at 88 points.  That's about all that he has left to play for and it doesn't even pay any money.
