Going Into The Weekend... of Week Eighteen

It's Friday... is there anything of any importance going into the weekend?

Well, the possible return of Jarome Iginla has got a little jump around town, that's for sure. With the Blue Jackets in town tonight, Iginla will look to release all that excitement on Box 12 goalie, Ty Conklin. It looks as though Iginla will be playing on a line with Alex Tanguay and Craig Conroy tonight, if indeed he dresses... which may prove to be rather electric come puck drop.

It's still rather unclear if Daymond Langkow will dress tonight as well, as he was sidelined with "upper body bruises" after leaving Tuesday night's game. He was skating yesterday, but there hasn't been any early indication whether or not he'll be a go tonight.

Candidates for Player of the Week
Marc-Andre Fleury (PIT - Box 18): 6 points
Daniel Briere (BUF - Box 14) & Jamie Langenbrunner (NJD - Box 21): 5 points
12 players tied with 4 points.

Candidates for Mover & Shaker
Benson: 39 points, +2 positions
Caterina: 47 points, +1 position
Jeff: 45 points, +1 position
Rob A.: 43 points, +1 position
Don: 42 points, no change

Candidates for Basement Dweller
Jim D.: 27 points, -3 positions
Scott: 30 points, -2 positions
Randy: 33 points, -2 positions

Don't forget the Sunday matinee... instead of watching the hours upon hours of Super Bowl pre-game coverage... you can watch your beloved Sidney Crosby on CBC.
Finishing an interupted home & home series with the Penguins, the Canadiens will look to avenge their Thursday night loss at home against the youthful Pens.
