Linden Returns

On Tuesday, all the speculation has ended amongst all Canuck fans as Trevor Linden signs on for his 19th season... much to the delight of the Opiated Sherpa. Linden scored 12 goals and 25 points for Vancouver last season and led the team in scoring in the playoffs. With Linden back in the line-up, the Canucks have very few changes to their starting 20 going into the year, only giving up spots to Ryan Shannon, Byron Ritchie, Aaron Miller and Curtis Sanford.

This is the layout of the Canucks as point production worked out, rather than what the actual line combinations are or will be. Just so you know.

The 20 have a combined total (minus the undisclosed salary for Linden) is $43 million and Linden should be worth under or around $1 million for the year, probably under. The Canucks have been linked with the Peter Forsberg sweepstakes and there is a fair bit of room left, if necessary. There is also a lot of rumours surrounding a few other players and with the depth they have on the blueline, you may see someone from there to move.
