The Canadiens decided to skim a bit off the top of their active roster, sending Matt D'Agostini to the Blues for Aaron Palushaj, who is a prospect forward. This to me looks like more of a roster spot dump, possibly to start the wheels in motion for some more details for tomorrow on Deadline Day. Palushaj is currently a minor-league player in Peoria, who has 22 points in 44 games in the AHL.
D'Agostini is a Sheet pool player this year, hidden away in Box 24. His 4 points this season is pretty bad, but he wasn't picked at all in the pool, so there really is no real implications from this deal directly, but the deadline day moves could prove otherwise. This does seem to be more of a gateway deal that could effect both pools in the end.
