The 22nd overall selection was turning some heads through the Oilers' prospect camp, all the way through to the World Juniors Summer Series, where he played for Team USA and he may have found his way into the main camp in December with his performance this summer. With the Chiefs in the WHL last season, Yamamoto finished with 99 points in 65 games.
