A trade in the NHL yesterday sent forward Jeff Friesen from the Devils to the Washington Capitals. The Devils needed to get rid of some salary and the Capitals were a team that actually needed to pick up some salary... who would have thought that'd ever be the case, eh?

Well, the top line in Washington will now probably shape up to look like:

Jeff Friesen - Andrew Cassels - Alexander Ovechkin

The addition of Friesen stands to make the power play and even strength teams all that much better, just because there wasn't really much better in the spot where Friesen is taking over. I would increase the likelihood of better points for his support more than Friesen himself.
