Well, there you have it. The Anaheim Ducks won the Stanley Cup in five games against the Ottawa Senators. It was a convincing 6-2 victory on Wednesday night to clinch the Cup.

Unoffically, Derek Wyllie wins the pool with 226 points, six up on second place Don Deptford who finished with 220. Before the final point audit Thursday afternoon, these will be your two money winners. Derek winning $500 and Don wins $100.

Well, I couldn't quite find a picture of Scott Niedermayer right away with the Conn Smythe Trophy, but I thought the Stanley Cup would work just as well. Niedermayer was named the Playoff MVP after captaining the team to it's first Stanley Cup and was instrumental in every aspect of the playoff run.

Niedermayer finished the playoffs with 3 goals (2 game-winners) and 8 assists for a big 13 points. A big reward for all of his holders in the pool... he was the most popular player in the pool. 43 of 63 teams had enough faith to take him and it seemed to carry through his play and got everyone enough points, let alone the Cup.

Game Winning Goal Scorer
It's unfortunate, not quite the reason however, but the winning goal came as an own-goal when Chris Phillips and Ray Emery got crossed up behind their own net and the puck got caught in Emery's skates and when Emery stopped in his crease, the puck kept going across the line. Travis Moen got credit for the goal, his third game-winner of the playoffs and he added another goal later on in the game off his own stick.

Stay tuned for the final results...
