The Anaheim Ducks has made a decision to spend some money and yesterday, they gave a bundle to Jean-Sebastien Giguere. A 4-year, $24 million deal was handed to the Stanley Cup winning goalie, which was batted around, which leads me to believe that either Teemu Selanne and/or Scott Niedermayer will retire.
Giguere finished the regular season in 35th place with 80 points. He was just a little bit more clutch in the playoffs though, finishing with the ever-popular Cup ring. Depending on the defenseman situation come September, it could very well sway the position of where you want to take Giguere in your pool draft.
