The bad news is starting to pile up for the Calgary Flames, as the injuries are coming fast and furiously.
The injury news on forward Curtis Glencross is not good, as it was announced that he has suffered a second degree MCL sprain in his knee, an injury that will keep him out of the line-up for up to six weeks.
Glencross, like most of the Flames this season, got off to a good start, but the numbers have tailed off a bit of late. In 15 games played, the veteran forward has 5 goals and 4 assists, which has him unofficially sitting in 134th in pool scoring, going into Thursday night's action.
Tim Jackman is expected to fill in for Glencross on Thursday night in St. Louis, keeping Sven Baertschi up in the press box for another game.
The hottest team in the pool for Week Six is taking a bit of a hit here, as Dale B. loses one of his key forwards for an extended period of time. Dale has moved up into the money conversation, as he sits in 5th place, 1 point out of 4th and 2 points out of 3rd, thanks to a 13-point week to date. Glencross hasn't been his hottest player of late, so he is okay that way, but losing bodies is still losing bodies. Will his team be in the money by the end of the week?
