Player Notes in the Draft (Nov 8)

The Buffalo Sabres lost the services of Christian Ehrhoff in the 3rd period against the Los Angeles Kings last night, due to a lower-body injury. The early reports were suggesting that Ehrhoff was dealing with the injury earlier in the game and it had become too much, which forced him out of the game. It sounds like a groin problem, but I suppose we cannot be certain from here, so we'll speculate. We'll consider him day-to-day for right now.

Ehrhoff belongs to Stacey C. this season, but hasn't produced very well on an under-achieving team to this point in the season.  Maybe a game or two away will refresh the batteries and help get his game back on track.

The Colorado Avalanche might be without blueliner Ryan Wilson on Friday night, as they play host to the Calgary Flames.  Wilson is reportedly dealing with a back injury and he was listed as doubtful on Thursday morning.  Things may have changed overnight, but this is just a suggestion that he may not suit up tonight.  If he cannot go on Friday night, he will be listed as out day-to-day.

There hasn't been a lot of luck for Dale C. on the injury front this year, as he sits in 11th place.  His healthy players have been keeping his head above water, but he could really use a stretch with all of his players in their respective line-ups.

Speaking about returning to their respective line-ups, the Edmonton Oilers welcomed Taylor Hall back to their line-up on Thursday night.  Unfortunately, welcoming back the former number one overall pick was not enough to slide past the Tampa Bay Lightning, as they took a 4-2 loss on the road.  On the plus side, Hall did register a goal on his return, so from a pool perspective, it is all good.

This news couldn't come soon enough for Mike S., who's team has slipped down to 22nd place and is currently perched in the Basement Dweller spot for Week Six.  If Hall and the Oilers can get their act together, it is possible that Mike can see his team get back on track.
