Player Notes in the Playoffs (May 13)
The New York Rangers have clawed their way back from being down 3-1 in the series, forcing tonight's Game 7 match-up and they get the benefit of going home to play in the deciding game.
The Washington Capitals are trying not to get down on themselves, going into this one, as their captain and emotional leader, Alex Ovechkin, has come out to say that they will be the ones playing either the Lightning or the Canadiens, which we now know is Tampa Bay.
No surprises in the nets tonight for either side, as it will be the regular starting goalies in this one, as Henrik Lundqvist will play host to Braden Holtby, as this match-up has been one of the best ones in recent memory.
Both teams are dealing with one injury each on the selection sheet, as the Capitals will go into this one without Box 19 forward Eric Fehr, who has been out with an upper-body injury since the opening series against the Islanders. The Rangers are also without Box 17 forward Mats Zuccarello, who is also dealing with an upper-body injury, having been out since Game 1 of this series with an apparent concussion.
Tonight's game has a 5:30pm MT start on CBC.
