Recent Contract Extensions (Aug 9)

The Arizona Coyotes didn't appear to be the business of giving forward Christian Dvorak a bridge contract out of his entry-level deal.  No, the 22-year old goes into the last year of his current deal with the knowledge that he will be a part of the Coyotes future for another six seasons afterwards, after he signed a 6-year, $26.7 million extension on Thursday.

Dvorak was among the pool worthy players last season, scoring 15 goals and 37 points in 78 games with the club, which was good enough for 161st among all forwards in scoring and I am expecting much of the same, in terms of next season, but he does have the upside to set some new career highs, if this Coyotes team can play well around him.
