Canucks Re-Sign Hansen

It appears that the Canucks have re-signed restricted free agent forward Jannik Hansen to a new 1-year, two-way deal worth about $550,000 (According to Hansen, 23, played in 55 games with the Canucks last season, also splitting time with the team's AHL affiliate, the Manitoba Moose. With the Canucks, he scored 6 goals and added 15 assists, which ranks fairly low in the league standings.

Salary CapThe salary cap hit is nice & small enough for the team to absorb with little pressure on the remaining cap space, especially with a few young players left to come on and fill the roster up. The Canucks now have 20 players signed on for $54.4 million, leaving $2.4 million left for three players. It's still a bit tricky, but still manageable.
