Even More Players Off to Europe

Another case of a veteran European heading back home occurred on Friday, as 36-year old Ville Peltonen signed in Russia. Peltonen spent the last three seasons in the NHL, the last of which was in Florida, where he scored 12 goals and 19 assists in 79 games, which meant that he wasn't a good fantasy player, so he shouldn't really be missed on the fantasy level.

Also heading to Russia is defenseman Ossi Vaananen, who couldn't find a regular post on the Vancouver blueline last season. Vaananen was picked up on waivers by the Canucks last season for depth, playing in 49 games, scoring 1 goal and 10 assists between Philadelphia and Vancouver.
