Kings to Sit Frolov

Opening up the flood gates of the rumour mill, the Kings are set to make Alexander Frolov a healthy scratch tonight versus the Stars. The scratch is described as a night off to send a message to a struggling player, meaning that the coaching staff is going to try and motivate him by giving the night off.

Frolov has already been in the middle of many trade rumours this summer, some of them even hit the rumour mill blog, so there seems to be a little bit of fire to the smoke signals we've seen.

ImplicationsFrolov was taken in the Draft by Stuart in the 9th round, 146th overall. Stuart has been able to take advantage of Frolov's five points in eight games to sit in 5th in the Draft, but that kind of production doesn't seem to be enough for the Kings.

Frolov is also a member of Box 2 on the Sheet, but like Richards and Arnott before him today, no one has picked him in that box.
