Roster Signings on Monday (July 11)

The Ducks re-signed restricted free agent forward Dan Sexton, giving him a 2-year deal, dollar figures were not disclosed.  Sexton split time between the big leagues and the minors, playing in only 47 games, scoring 4 goals and 9 assists.  I don't think there is any guarantee that Sexton will make the Anaheim line-up through training camp, but he will definitely get a good look again.

We now have an early leader for the back-up position behind Jimmy Howard in the Detroit crease in the 2012 season, as Joey MacDonald signed a 2-year deal on Monday. MacDonald saw some time with the Wings in 2011, winning 5 games and picking up 12 points for the hockey pool. Things can change between now and October, but MacDonald is an early favourite.
