Bogosian Now Week-to-Week

The Winnipeg Jets do not expect to have Zach Bogosian in their line-up on Sunday evening for their game against the Minnesota Wild, nor do they expect him back any time soon.

The lower-body injury that Bogosian left Friday night's game with has been confirmed to be a groin injury and the team does not consider him day-to-day, rather week-to-week and a spot on the Injured Reserve is likely for the 23-year old blueliner.

In 21 games this season, Bogosian has not been too offensive, scoring only 1 goal and 3 assists, which has him unofficially ranked at 425th in pool scoring.

ImplicationsBogosian belongs to Stacey C. in the draft this year, who is right in the thick of the prizing conversation, sitting in 9th place and only 10 points out of 4th place.

As of Sunday morning, Bogosian appears to be the only injury concern on Stacey's team and he's the lowest scoring player on the team, which may mean he'll get his ties cut this week in the Waiver Draft.  There are plenty of defensemen available and if Stacey can improve his blueline numbers (15th with 25 points), he could really make that push.
