Slew-Foot Gives Marchand Two Games in the Corner

The Boston Bruins will be without aggravating forward Brad Marchand for a couple of games, after the +NHL handed him a 2-game suspension for slew-footing New York Rangers forward Derick Brassard on Thursday night.  Marchand will miss Saturday's game, home to Columbus and then Tuesday night's game in Dallas. For more details about the suspension, check out the embedded video below.

This season, Marchand has been okay in the scoring department and for the Bruins, that's all they really need within their system.  In 42 games, the 26-year old has 12 goals and 24 points, currently ranked 154th in pool scoring overall.

Kristy & +Don have him this season, taking him 176th overall in the 8th round and they have done well with that selection, as he has been scoring at a rate that's one round above where he was taken.  Even with a few injuries and now this suspension, their lead in the pool continues to stay strong, going into Friday night with 42 points between themselves and 2nd place.
