The Islanders finally fished out a big one out of the free agent pool and it turned out to be Bill Guerin. Guerin signed a 2-year deal worth $9 million, which could be a little bit over market value. The Islanders are so strapped for talent at the moment, it must have been the money that brought Guerin to town. I think there's a solid case for Guerin's stock to go down, because he won't have a really talented centre to play with and well... morale on that team will be worse that Edmonton's.
