Caps Sign 2009 1st Rounder
The Washington Capitals made a splash by signing their number one centre on Monday and it appears that they have their number two centre (in waiting) signed up as well. The Caps announced that they signed Marcus Johansson, their 2009 1st round pick, to a new 3-year entry-level deal. Johansson was ranked 4th among Caps prospects in the Hockey News' Future Watch and received some pretty good praise from the management team as to where he is in his development today. He'll be one to watch when Training Camp opens, as he'll get a good long look to make the cut.
