The Buffalo Sabres re-signed gritty forward Mike Grier to another 1-year deal on Monday afternoon. His cap hit was not immediately disclosed, but his numbers and rankings have stayed the same over the past few seasons, so I believe it would be fair to assume that he will have a cap hit of about $1.2 million again in 2011.
In 2010, Grier had 22 points (10 goals and 12 assists) in 73 games for the Sabres, ranking him 368th among all players and 251st among forwards. He'll be added to the Sabres roster table, but a Team Update post won't be posted for a while just yet.
In the Draft in 2010, we only picked 136 forwards, so he's a ways out. The Draft is expected to grow, but don't go down too far when selecting.
