Here we go, much like the series games on Monday night, we have another elimination game with the Vancouver Canucks trying to stay alive to force a Game Seven in their series against the Chicago Blackhawks.
The Blackhawks really flexed some muscle in the two games that were already played in Vancouver, so home ice will not necessarily be an advantage for the Canucks tonight, but they will have to draw from some of the momentum that they had built in their victory in Game Five of the series.
This series has been full of scoring through the first five games, especially from Jonathan Toews of the Blackhawks, who leads the series with 11 points and also leads all players in the series in points for the first two rounds with 20. Patrick Kane and Patrick Sharp are also tied for 2nd in points in the series, meaning the big games have really come from Chicago, so the Canucks will need to shut down their offense in order to prevail in Game Six and force a Game Seven.
Sami Salo, who was injured in Game Five, is a game-time decision with his lower-body injury. He apparently did skate in practice, so there is plenty of hope that he can go and be a solid sixth defender tonight.
