The Vancouver Canucks have shown a whole lot of faith in their latest acquisition, forward Brandon Sutter, as they signed him to a 5-year contract extension on Tuesday, only a week after acquiring him from the Pittsburgh Penguins. The deal is reportedly worth $21.875 million, which works out to an annual cap hit of $4.375 million.
If you didn't click on the link for the trade, you wouldn't have found out there that in the 2015 season, Sutter scored 21 goals and 33 points in 80 games for the Penguins, ranking him just inside of the pool worthiness in the rankings.
