Sheet Player News (Nov. 13)

Reports from Saturday night say that Minnesota Wild defenseman Marco Scandella left the team's game against the Los Angeles Kings with an apparent head injury, after taking a solid hit from Kings forward Ethan Moreau.  Scandella was not able to return to the game, with the team citing a head injury and there seems to be plenty of reason to believe that we should be expecting the team to say that he suffered a concussion on the play.  I wouldn't expect to see Scandella in the line-up tonight, but we should at least get an update on his condition and when we might expect him to return.

The Winnipeg Jets have announced that defenseman Derek Meech will now be out of the line-up for upwards of eight weeks, following surgery to repair the lower-body injury he has been dealing with since the first week of the season.  This injury will keep the Box 30 defenseman out of the line-up until early January, at the latest, but I don't believe he was very popular in the pool to begin with, so this isn't ground-breaking news, by any means.
