Pending a physical in the coming days, Mike Peca has agreed to a 1-year deal with the Blue Jackets, which will help fill the gap left by Alex Svitov heading to Russia. Peca, who only saw 35 games, scored 4 times and added 11 helpers for the Maple Leafs last season. He should be able to walk into a key role for the Blue Jackets as he'll likely play with a couple of their budding young players. If he can remain healthy for the entire season, he could be a pretty good pick for your pool team.| Rick Nash | Sergei Fedorov | David Vyborny |
| Fredrik Modin | Dan Fritsche | Nikolai Zherdev |
| Jason Chimera | Mike Peca | Gilbert Brule |
| Jiri Novotny | Kris Beech | Jody Shelley |
| Manny Malhotra |
| Ron Hainsey | Rostislav Klesla |
| Adam Foote | Duvie Westcott |
| Jan Hejda | Ole-Kristian Tollefsen |
| Fredrik Norrena |
| Pascal Leclaire |
The team looks to be shaping up, but it doesn't really seem to have an identity yet. Players like Nash, Fedorov, Modin, Zherdev and Norrena should be considered to be on your pool team, but they are not the players you're going out of your way to get. Well, maybe Nash... but after last season's lack of production, it's a little harder to believe.
