Sheet Player News (Nov 27)

Bad news for the Detroit Red Wings on Saturday morning, as Mike Modano did have to undergo surgery on Friday night to repair a severed tendon in his wrist after being cut by R.J. Umberger's skate in the game against the Blue Jackets.  There is going to be a long rehab process for the veteran centre who plays in Box 7 of the selection sheet pool, so his value has definitely plummeted.

In 20 games this season, Modano has only picked up 2 goals and 6 assists, so his value was actually quite low to begin with.

I somewhat missed the boat on this injury, not taking into account that the Panthers defense wasn't terribly deep this season. Bryan Allen has been out for the better part of this week with a broken foot, but the Box 29 defenseman is listed as out day-to-day at the moment, so I am assuming it isn't one of the major bones in his foot that is broken.

Allen has 2 goals and 4 assists in 19 games with the Panthers this season.
