Sheet Player News (Nov 5)

The Colorado Avalanche are now having some issues on the blueline, which looks a little troublesome at the moment.  On Thursday against Vancouver, the Avalanche were without both Box 12 defenseman Ryan Wilson and Box 13 defenseman Kyle Cumiskey, which forced the recall and debut of Box 14 defenseman Kevin Shattenkirk.  Wilson is still skating with the team and should be considered day-to-day, while Cumiskey will be touch and go with his concussion.  The Avalanche are at home to Dallas on Saturday and it will be interesting to see if Shattenkirk gets another game before heading back down to the AHL.

It was more good news than bad news for the Los Angeles Kings on Thursday night, as they had the return of both Drew Doughty and Scott Parse to their line-up, but Box 9 forward Brayden Schenn again found his way up to the press box as a healthy scratch. In some of my reading yesterday, it was said that Schenn's play away from the puck is forcing the coach's hand to scratch him, so I am beginning to wonder if a stint in the minors is in his future, especially with healthy bodies coming back.
