Player Notes in the Draft (Mar 14)
New York Islanders forward Frans Nielsen was held out of Friday night's game against the Senators, due to a lower-body injury. According to some reports, Nielsen has been playing through some pain during the last few weeks, so it was a night off for the Danish forward. It does sound like Nielsen will draw back in for Saturday's game against the Canadiens, so it will be a short-lived stay on the shelf.
Cam has Nielsen this season and couldn't be too disappointed that the 186th overall selection in the draft is now ranked 137th overall in scoring, thanks to 12 goals and 39 points in 69 games. Cam has, however, dropped down to 7th place in the standings, falling off while a couple of other teams are staying really hot.
An updated list of injuries can be found here.
