Player Notes in the Draft (Mar 19)
We're back to a busy night in the NHL, as 10 games will go on the schedule tonight. A busy night means that we'll look at the races in this part of the post, which kind of gives us some insight to how the week has gone as well.
The race for 3rd place has a new leader, as Clayton took to the scoring race well on Wednesday night and will look to defend the spot tonight. It is probable that he will have both of his goalies going tonight, as Brian Elliott could face the Jets for the Blues and Marc-Andre Fleury could very well take on the Stars for the Penguins. Wes, who has now dropped to 4th, is also expecting to see only one of his goalies tonight, as Carey Price is in for the Habs against the Canes. Brian, 18 points back, will have Devan Dubnyk going against the Capitals tonight for the Wild. Dale B., 19 points back, has already lost one projected start in Detroit, but Tuukka Rask should be back in the Bruins net tonight, starting against the Senators. Finally, 20 points back, Cam will be without a goalie start, as one is injured and the other won't start again for the third straight game.
Mike is chasing Brian down for the third segment race, now 5 points back, and won't have a goalie to help his cause tonight. Benson, 12 points back, should have both of his goalies going, as Kari Lehtonen is going for the Stars against the Penguins, while Semyon Varlamov is probable for the Avalanche against the Coyotes. Stuart, 13 points back, will see the return of Roberto Luongo from injury in the Panthers net, as he'll take on the Red Wings tonight. That is his only start of the evening.
Lots of minutes are going out the door, due to non-pool goalies and there are more non-pool starts tonight. Anton Khudobin is going for the Hurricanes, Andrew Hammond is in for the Senators and Eddie Lack goes for the Canucks tonight.
