Player Notes in the Draft (Mar 21)

The New Jersey Devils were without forward Mike Cammalleri for their game against the Buffalo Sabres on Friday night, due to a bout of the flu or some kind of other illness. It didn't sound too serious, but I would imagine his availability for Saturday evening's contest against Long Island, may still be in question, but that will likely be a game-time decision, if anything.

Leo's solid run in the third segment has taken a bit of a hit this week, as his team has only mustered 8 points through the weeknights in Week Twenty-Four, but a busy weekend will hopefully sort his side out.  His team is only 16 points out of top spot in the segment and if Cammalleri can return, it would be a big boost for his side.

A couple of notable activations from the Injured Reserve came down on Friday afternoon, as the Columbus Blue Jackets will welcome forward Boone Jenner back to their lineup, while the Los Angeles Kings are preparing for the return of defenseman Alec Martinez.

Jenner has been out since December with a stress fracture in his back, which was only supposed to keep him out of the lineup for a couple of months, but setbacks forced him to miss a total of four months.  The 21-year old forward is expected to dress against the Flames on Saturday afternoon.

It was very unfortunate for Tony, who had taken Jenner at the opening draft, dropped him due to injury in the preseason, then picked him up again in the Week Nine Waiver Draft, only to lose him again to injury.  Tony has only collected 3 points from five games played from him this year.

Martinez has been out just over a month with a concussion, which had cost him 18 games, but he has been deemed worthy to return and he'll go for the Kings against the Canucks on Saturday afternoon.

It's too little, too late for Brenda & Seward, who have certainly missed the Stanley Cup hero from last Summer.  The pool's second duo are second from the bottom in the third segment, only Tony is below them, and that has dropped them down to 19th from 12th, where they were at the end of Week Eighteen.
