Morning Player Notes (Jan 19)

The Pittsburgh Penguins made the decision on Friday night to sit defenseman Jamie Oleksiak for their game against the Arizona Coyotes, probably more to give him the night off more than anything else, but his last five games have been fairly uneventful, no points and 7 PIM, and they may not have really needed his dominating size against an agile Coyotes team that would probably skate circles around him.  The Penguins are in Vegas tonight and there's a good chance that they will need his size to clear out some of those pesky Golden Knights from in front of their net.

Brian's team has been doing well, despite this one scratch last night, as it is in the race for the Mover & Shaker this week, tied for top spot at 25 points and still has a solid number of games left to be played.  Oleksiak was one of Brian's Waiver Draft picks this season, but hasn't collected much from him, 1 assist in 13 games.
