Sharks' Braun Out With Knee Injury

The San Jose Sharks placed defenseman Justin Braun on the Injured Reserve this weekend, as he suffered a knee injury in Wednesday night's game against the Avalanche and ruled him out of the weekend's action with that placement.

The indication is that the knee injury isn't too serious, but they needed the roster spot for a healthy body, so he won't be eligible to return until Thursday night in Vegas, if he is ready to go by then.

Braun hasn't been nearly as productive as he has been in recent years, posting only 1 goal and 9 points in 42 games this season, which is well down in the overall standings and just outside of what would be considered to be pool worthy, ranking 124th among all defensemen in scoring.

Chelsea's team has had all kinds of injury problems this season and just can't stay healthy for long stretches.  Her team dropped a spot with only a couple of games left to be played on Sunday night, falling down to 22nd, bu there could be some hope in the next week or so, since some of her injuries may be getting healthy again.
