Following a knee injury to Mike Smith (Box 12) over the weekend, the Lightning have called up Marc Denis (Box 24) from the AHL on Thursday morning, likely to back-up Karri Ramo (non-pool), when the Lightning face-off against Washington tonight.Smith is out with a slight knock to his knee, but all MRI's were negative, so he shouldn't be out of the Lightning line-up for too long. Since Tampa is pretty much out of the playoff picture (and have been for quite some time), Denis may find himself getting another start, after being in the minors for the bulk of the season.
