B's Bring Back Blueliner

The Bruins announced on Tuesday that they will be bringing back Mark Stuart for another tour of duty. Stuart signed a multi-year deal (no financial terms were announced) as a reward for his steady season in all 82 games for the Bruins in 2008. Stuart registered 4 goals and 4 assists during the year, was a +2 and had 81 penalty minutes.

Known more for being a defensive defenseman, he may not be on many draft lists come pool draft day.

Only earning $1.6 million last season, he'll likely stay in the same ballpark, with a raise for playing in all 82 games. This brings Boston's active total amount of skaters to 20 and they sound like they are in the mix for some key free agents or even some trades come July 1st. The Bruins are looking more and more like a playoff-contending team all the time.
