Bruins Blueline Takes a Hit

The Bruins are going to have a couple major holes on their blueline when they travel to Chicago to take on the Blackhawks. Both Dennis Wideman and Mark Stuart will be out of the line-up, one much longer than the other.

Wideman will be held out of the line-up with an undisclosed injury and won't be in the line-up on Friday. The coaching staff doesn't rule out Saturday's game in Toronto or Monday in Ottawa. One game isn't too bad.

Stuart, on the other hand, will now be out of the line-up for six weeks thanks to a broken sternum. Stuart suffered the injury on Monday night against Philadelphia.

ImplicationsWideman is the only player that was taken in the Draft, taken in the 6th round by Dale B., who is still climbing up the ranks of the standings. One game shouldn't derail that climb, but it won't help.

Wideman was also taken 13 times from Box 27 on the Sheet, but doesn't rank as the favourite in that box... that honour goes to Kimmo Timonen of the Flyers, so if a trade would be made, it would be on that premise.

Stuart is a member of Box 30, where he was taken three times, but his 4 points are nowhere near the box leader's numbers. Randy Jones, now a member of the Kings, has 12 points this year.
