Friday Night's Scratches

The Canucks continue to tinker with their line-up before games and Friday night was no different. On the way out for the game against Washington was Box 13 defender, Mathieu Schneider. Schneider had a rough game against Anaheim on Wednesday night and certainly wasn't thought to have the legs to keep up with the Capitals, so he got the night off and Aaron Rome took his spot.

There was some good news for the Capitals, that Mike Green was able to go for the team, after that nasty hit he took from Colorado's David Koci earlier in the week. Green's eye turned out to be okay for the game, but there was signs of getting hit by a truck. With Green in the line-up, Box 27 defender Milan Jurcina, was the healthy scratch, as the Capitals decided to keep their blueline as young as possible as well against Vancouver.
