Morning Player Notes in the Draft (Feb 17)

The New York Rangers were in Brooklyn on Thursday night and their lineup got a little bit of a shake-up, ahead of the game against the Islanders. Forward Pavel Buchnevich was a healthy scratch for this one, while defenseman Kevin Klein was a late scratch, due to being under the weather.

Buchnevich only has 1 assist in his last five appearances for the Rangers and the team was obviously looking for a little bit more offense from the 21-year old Russian, so the healthy scratch was likely deemed necessary for this past game.

Klein may have fallen victim to that awful flu bug that has been haunting the league, so he's currently listed as day-to-day right now and the Rangers won't play again until Sunday afternoon, when he might just figure back in, if he's feeling up to it.

For Tony, the healthy scratch was just piling on for his season, but he has no fear of finishing in last, as Troy is taking care of that, thanks to his goon squad.  Marcin, on the other hand, was still likely holding on to some hope, but a missed game from Klein isn't helping an already poor week with only 5 points, as his season seems to be fading away quickly.
