Morning Player Notes in the Draft (Feb 3)

The New York Rangers opted to scratch forward Brandon Pirri on Thursday night against the Sabres.  Pirri has been struggling of late, only having 1 goal in his last five games and with the overtime win, it doesn't seem out of the question that Pirri could sit another game this weekend.

Stuart is already ahead of the game, having him on the drop list in the Waiver Draft this week.  Next week, this won't be an issue on his team.

The Flyers have continued to be unafraid of scratching their youth, trying to get the best of out of them, upon their return.  On Thursday, with the Canadiens in town, the Flyers staff opted to scratch both Travis Konecny and Shayne Gostisbehere for the game.  The Flyers managed to sneak out a 3-1 win against Montreal, so who knows how they will proceed on the weekend.

This is a rough one for Clayton, as both players are his.  Clayton's team has dropped down again this week and missing out on games isn't going to push his way up the standings now, is it?
