The Islanders re-signed forward Blake Comeau to a new 2-year deal on Monday, with financial terms undisclosed. Comeau was a restricted free agent this summer after having his entry-level deal expire.
Comeau is slowly making his way into the Islanders line-up on a full-time basis, picking up more and more games played as the years are going by, which is also increasing his production through the seasons. In 2009, Comeau finished with 53 games under his belt, scoring 7 goals and adding 18 assists. He hasn't put up the fantasy-worthy numbers, but if he can get 82 games on his resume, you may see that kind of production that the team is hoping for. He'll be a waiver draft pick-up, if any this year.
