Reports out of Finland are saying that Teppo Numminen is retiring from the NHL after playing in 20 seasons. Numminen played for Winnipeg, Phoenix, Dallas and Buffalo in his career, spanning 1,372 games and 637 points. In 2009, after returning from open heart surgery, played in 57 games and registered 17 points, ranking him 112th among NHL defensemen in pool points.
